Hampton Row, before the wires go up

Hampton Row is on the approaches to Sydney Gardens in Bath and will change over the next few years as the electrification of the Great Western mainline progresses. These are some images from August 2015.

Some of the main features of the location include this very well worn footbridge and the abandoned terrace of houses. My understanding is the houses were compulsory purchased for a 1970s road scheme that in the end  did not take place and have been left to rot since then.

The footbridge is very worn and my understanding is that it will be replaced during electrification.
