It seems to me (without doing any exact analysis) that loco hauled engineers trains along the West Coastway between Hove and Arundel Junction during daylight hours only happen every six months. Today with the Mid Sussex/Arun Valley line closed due to engineering works, and also the Southwestern mainline, we have had two engineers trains in daylight hours through West Worthing, both ran late, and as ever the sun wasn't in an ideal place.
First up was Colas Rail class 70 diesel locomotive 70802 in Colas Rail livery working 6N01 05:50 Crystal Palace to Eastleigh East Yard..
Secondly, a while later, DB Cargo class 66 diesel locomotive 66019 in DB Cargo livery working 6G11 09:00 Crystal Palace to Eastleigh East Yard.
