On Good Friday 18/04/2014 an engineers train, 6N35 1455 Bricklayers Arms Junction to Eastleigh, hauled by DBS loco 66151 caught fire (from info received at around 17:00 in the day) near Three Bridges, apparently with smouldering sleepers. This caused delays and cancellations and trains to turn around short of destination.

The first shot is unusual in that it is a single class 313 right at the buffers of the Middle Road at West Worthing, normally trains will stop after becoming clear of the exit signal. I suspect that a down London service had turned around at West Worthing and the 313 had to make room for this train in the siding. |

The cause of the disruption, 6N35 hauled by 66151 passes 313203 running 80+ minutes late. |
