It is fitting that this 100th blog item is on the first anniversary of RailPicsGB and includes a class 33 diesel. The class 33 appropriate because I passed for driving on 33011 and it was nice to see 33207 in action today.
The main part of the Seaford 150 railtour was BR Class 7P 71000 'Oliver Cromwell' heading a steam hauled train to Seaford, the time steam has been seen at Seaford since the 1960s. The train also visited Newhaven Marine and Brighton before heading off to Eastbourne and points east before heading back to London.
As there are no run round facilities at Seaford and Newhaven class 33 diesel 33207 was provided to haul the train when required after arrival.

Oliver Cromwell passes Southease a little late on the way to Seaford. |
 |
After further delay (signal faults at Newhaven were being announced as we left for home) 33207 leads the next main leg of the trip from Newhaven Marine to Brighton through Lewes.

Not quite as sharp as I'd hoped, but it was windy and I'd left the tripod at home!. Oliver Cromwell passes Lewes Priory on the Brighton to Eastbourne leg.
